About Us Hello! I am so happy that you stopped by to visit and wanting to know a bit more about me. God has blessed me in my life. I have a wonderful and supportive husband. My husband, Ed and I have been married for 29 years. We have a son and daughter and 5 beautiful granchildren.   Besides spending time with my family, I also enjoy antiquing, traveling, gardening, geneology and collecting and making new receipes.   As far back as I can remember, I have always enjoyed being creative. When I was a young girl, my grandmother would teach me to crochet and knit. I also entered coloring contests.( I even won a few.) As a teenager I was given the opportunity to be a helper to a friend of the family who owned her own Home Interiors business. That's when I found I had this passion to design and decorate.   When my husband and I started a family I became a stay at home mom. As my children were growing into their teenage years, they didn't seem to need mom as much, so I started a home based ceramic business. After about 10 years of doing fairs and craft shows, I wanted to do what I have a real passion for, and that is designing and decorating.   When our daughter graduated from High School in 2001, I asked my husband what he thought about me opening my own Home Decor Shop. As always , he is very supportive of me and said "go for it." I opened Accents For Living June of 2001. I enjoy working with people and helping them make their house feel more like a home. Three years ago we bought an historic building, and moved our shop into the downstairs, and renovated the upstairs into a loft apartment. We just love it!   I have also started another venture with a friend of mine, called Unique Chic Designs, Inc. We offer our decorating services in redesigning, redecorating, restaging, faux painting and personal shopping.   You have stepped into my world for a little bit.
